Club Policies

Our Commitment to Excellence

Shoreline Volleyball is committed to creating a respectful, competitive, and growth-focused environment. The following policies ensure a smooth and successful experience for all athletes, families, and coaches.

Attendance Policy

At Shoreline Volleyball, consistent attendance is essential to both individual development and team success. Athletes are expected to attend all scheduled practices, tournaments, and team events. If a player is unable to attend due to illness, injury, or a family emergency, they must notify their coach as far in advance as possible. Absences that are not communicated or are frequent and unexcused may result in reduced playing time or changes in team standing. We understand that families have busy lives, but we ask all players to treat their commitment to the team as a priority.

Attendance Policy

Uniform Policy

Players are required to wear the full Shoreline Volleyball Nike gear package to all practices, scrimmages, and tournaments. This includes the designated jersey, shorts, socks, warmups, and shoes. Uniforms should be clean and presentable at every event. Missing or incomplete uniforms may impact a player’s ability to participate in matches. Players are responsible for maintaining their equipment, and lost or damaged items may need to be replaced at their own expense.

Uniform Policy

Travel & Transportation

Families are responsible for arranging transportation and lodging for all tournaments, including those that require overnight stays. While many families choose to carpool or share accommodations, Shoreline does not organize travel directly. We do encourage open communication among team families to coordinate where possible. Athletes are expected to arrive at tournament venues early and fully prepared. Coaches will provide arrival times and expectations for each event, and punctuality is taken seriously.

Travel & Transportation

Communication Policy

All official team communications will be sent through the club’s designated mobile app or via email. This includes practice updates, tournament details, and announcements. Parents and athletes are expected to check for updates regularly and ensure their contact information is accurate. Coaches may not be able to respond to last-minute questions during tournaments or practices, so please plan accordingly. If you have a non-urgent question or concern, email is the best method of contact.

Communication Policy

Code of Conduct

As representatives of Shoreline Volleyball, all athletes and families are expected to uphold the values of respect, sportsmanship, and integrity. Players must treat teammates, coaches, officials, opponents, and themselves with respect at all times. Negative behavior, including gossip, bullying, or unsportsmanlike conduct, will not be tolerated. Parents are also expected to support coaches and promote a positive environment. Violations of this code may result in warnings, reduced playing time, or removal from the team depending on severity.

Code of Conduct

Payment & Refund Policy

By accepting a spot on a Shoreline team, families commit to paying the full season fee. Payments are non-refundable once a player confirms their position. We recognize that life circumstances can change, so exceptions to this policy may be considered in the event of a serious injury or family relocation, provided written documentation is submitted. Payment plans may be available upon request, and all payment arrangements must be made prior to the season's start.

Social Media Guidelines

Shoreline encourages players to share their volleyball journey and team spirit online in a respectful and positive way. However, negative or inappropriate posts about teammates, coaches, referees, or opponents may result in disciplinary action. We ask that players and parents use good judgment when posting and remember that they are ambassadors of our club. Team-related content may also be shared through Shoreline’s official social media channels with consent.
